Questions received after the question deadline will not be acknowledged. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The lowest Bidder shall be determined based on the lowest bid which combines the Total Base Bid Amount plus the total amount of Add Alternate Items, taken in sequence, which the County, at its sole discretion, decides to accept. The Bidder agrees and understands that liquidated damages set in the amount of $1,000.00 per day is applicable to this project for each calendar day in excess of the dates set for Substantial Completion of the Work, including punch-list items, any/all submittals and/or contractual requirements whatsoever under this project. Bid Surety shall be in the form of a Bid Bond, Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certified Check, or Bank Draft payable to Director of Finance, Prince William County, in an amount not less than 5% of the cost proposal of the base bid The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment bonds and, in an amount, not less than 100% of the contract amount. The Board of County Supervisors for the County of Prince William reserves the right to reject any or all bids in part or in its entirety and may waive any informalities and ir regularities in bidding when deemed in the best interest of the County.
