Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Round Rock, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Following is a summary of information for this Project. Bidder is cautioned to refer to other sections of the Project Manual, Drawings and Addenda (Bid Documents) for further details. Meritage Homes on behalf of Round Rock Municipal Utility District No. 2 hereafter called Owner, is requesting sealed written Bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals, and for performing all Work required for the following Project: Homestead at Old Settlers Park Townhomes Site Development Located at: about 1 mile north of U.S Hwy 79, north of Chandler Creek, just south of Old Settlers Boulevard, and about 1 mile northwest of Dell Diamond in Williamson County, Texas. The Work consists of: construction of infrastructure including waterlines, gravity wastewater lines, storm sewers, detention/water quality facilities, roadways, landscaping, sidewalks, and erosion controls All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in "Instructions To Bidders". Performance and payment bonds shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by Owner pursuant to applicable law. Minimum insurance requirements are specified in Article 6, Standard General Conditions, as may be amended. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially complete within 210 Calendar Days after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed for each phase, in accordance with the "Bid Form". Final completion shall be achieved within 30 Calendar Days after substantial completion for each phase. Liquidated damages are Seven Hundred Fifty and No/Hundredths Dollars ($750) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and Five Hundred and No/Hundredths Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within 30 Calendar Days after substantial completion, in accordance with the "Bid Form". Page 2 of 2 Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid). A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. Minimum Wage Scale: The contract will require compliance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 2258, Subchapter B, pertaining to prevailing wage rates. In accordance with Texas Water Code Section 49.279, the District specifies the prevailing wage rates for public works established by Williamson County, Texas as the District's prevailing wage rates. The contractor for the Project must pay not less than the specified prevailing wage rates to workers employed by it in execution of the contract
