Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Big Sur, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.
Furnish all labour, materials, tools and equipment necessary to clear the site of vegetation that is around and in contact with the structure; repair or replace in-kind wall and roof framing members, including rafter tails; repair or replace in-kind old growth redwood exterior vertical board siding and paint to match existing; repairs doors and windows; repair or replace in-kind the corrugated metal roof panels; repair damaged wood at interior stable stalls; re-level and infill where necessary the interior gravel floor with matching material; provide a French drain at foundation perimeter and connect to drain outlets and drain fields. All work performed shall be in compliance with the latest adopted edition of the California Building Code, including the Historical Building Code; and shall follow the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The designated treatment under these Standards will be that of Preservation at ANDREW MOLERA STATE PARK located in Monterey County, California, complete and in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to bid opening date. License required: B General Building Contractor Engineer's Estimate: $275,000 Historic Treatment Contractor Qualifications: Refer to Section 013591 - Historic Treatment Procedures - Contractor has a minimum of ten (10) years experience and has completed a minimum of three (3) recent projects with a record of successful in-service performance that demonstrate the firm's qualifications to perform this work. The bidder agrees to complete all work within THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE (365) calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work. Questions and Answers: Any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities, or conflicts in or among the contract documents or doubts as to meaning shall be brought to the State's attention by including your questions directly on to Cassie.Salopek@parks.ca.gov NO LATER THAN 2:00 p.m., seven (7) calendar days prior to bid opening date. Answers will be provided by Addendum which is within the Bid Solicitation located on the DGS website stated above. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, 1773 and 1773.1 of the Labour Code, the Department has ascertained that the general prevailing rate of wages in the county in which the work to be done be as listed by the Department of Industrial Relations (415) 703-4780. A copy of this listing is on file at the address listed above or at portal. Successful bidder shall provide Payment Bond and Performance Bond.
