Repair, maintenance and installation of clocks, public address (pa), and intercom systems two (2) year contract with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period This Solicitation is to provide Repair, Maintenance and Installation of Clocks, Public Address (PA) and Intercom systems for Newark Board of Education (NBOE, District) properties. Department of Property Management and Construction Classification - C047 Electrical is required. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and necessary supervision to keep the clocks, public address and intercom system equipment properly adjusted for correct, efficient operation. The Contractor shall use qualified, trained and experienced personnel, directly employed. C2.2 The Contractor shall be a manufacturer authorized service technician for brands to be installed. All work shall conform to the manufacturer specs and applicable codes. C2.3 The Contractor shall maintain a log sheet enclosed in a plastic envelope indicating the date of service, service performed and the name of the service technician performing at each location. C2.4 A monthly report in Excel format shall be provided to the Director of Project Control Appointed Representative indicating all work performed for the preceding month. C2.5 When available, "All parts shall be purchased from the original equipment manufacturer and/or its licensed representative, and parts must be installed within forty-eight (48) hours. C2.6 Replacement parts shall be purchased by the contractor and billed to the Newark Board of Education at the contractor's cost plus (+) a percentage (%) as submitted in the contractor's proposal. C2.7 Replacement or installation of major components in excess of $1,000.00, must be pre-approved by the Director of Project Control. The Contractor shall provide all catalog costs and other pertinent data of the proposed component. C2.8 Upon replacement or repair of major components and/or costs in excess of $1,500.00, the Contractor shall perform an operational test of the component and/or system in the presence of the Department of Facilities Management Appointed Representative. C2.9 The Contractor shall remove old material and debris as soon as work is completed. C2.10 The Contractor shall be responsible for any work not described, but necessary to effectively complete repairs. C2.11 The successful bidder shall notify the Director of Project Control and/or his Appointed Representative, in writing, of any conditions which exist that are safety hazards. C2.12 Upon installation of new equipment all pertinent literature and/or manuals are to be supplied to the Director of Project Control Appointed Representative. (Electrical Format Required).
