LOCATION OF PROJECT This project begins on the centerline of US 20 approximately 162 feet south of I-90 and extends north west along US 20 to a point approximately 38 feet south of McHenry County Line. The project has a gross and net length of 5,370 feet (1.017 miles). The project is located within the Village of Hampshire in Kane County. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT This is a SMART overlay project and the work to be performed under this contract will consist of pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, resurfacing with hot-mix asphalt surface course, hot-mix asphalt shoulders, curb and gutter removal and replacement, placement of thermoplastic pavement markings, spot pavement marking improvements, installation of raised reflective pavement markers, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown in the plans and as described herein.
