El Procurement Specialist Data Service Center lel@dataservice.org All questions and answers will be posted on the State of Delaware website Red Clay Consolidated School District is planning to utilize ERATE Category II funding to upgrade the network cabling in one section of Mote Elementary. This school section includes multiple classrooms. The vendor will install thirty-six (36) yellow CAT6 data lines for the classroom drops and six (6) green CAT6a data lines to the existing access points in the classrooms and the necessary patch panels required. The vendor will also need to provide a quantity of six (6) ten (10) foot white CAT6a patch cables (non-booted) to connect the existing classroom access points to the new CAT6a drop. This project will also include demo of the classroom's existing drops, which include data, voice, coax, and fiber. Existing lines will be demoed to the IDF in room 110 and/or the MDF closet. The existing wall-mounted rack in room 110 will also need to be demoed. A new IDF closet will be utilized for this project's new cabling. Patch cables for the patch panels will NOT need to be provided by the vendor. Attending a walk-through is highly recommended for this project - a copy of the floor plan with drop locations will be provided to vendors during the walk-through. The vendor is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and documentation. Each cable must be labeled as per the Red Clay Technology Dept. instructions. Cabling test results must be submitted to the Red Clay Technology Dept before submitting the invoice for the project. The vendor must be on the State of Delaware approved contract for Data and Voice Structured Cabling, Contract No. GSS21441-DATA_CBL. Performance and payment bonds are required for materials or non-professional service contracts, unless reduced or waived as stated in the bid specifications. Contracts for less than $25,000 may contain a waiver of the bond requirement provided the successful vendor posts with the State an irrevocable letter of credit or other suitable or readily collectible financial security for the project. Such letter of credit or other security shall be issued for a term commencing simultaneously with the execution of the formal contract and terminating no later than 3 years, subsequent to the date of delivery of such material or non-professional service or to the extent of the warranty period, whichever is greater. In no event shall such security expire without the express written approval of the State. When required, the successful bidder shall simultaneously with the execution of the formal contract, execute a good and sufficient Performance and Labor and Materials bond to the State of Delaware for the benefit of the District(s), with corporate surety authorized to do business in this State, in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The requirement of a 10% bid deposit is waived for this project.The requirement of a 100% performance bond is waived for this project.
