Renovation of a water / sewer project in Valemount, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The proposed works are located within Mount Robson Provincial Park on both the south and north sides of Highway 16 in the vicinity surrounding the intersection of the Highway with Hargreaves Road (south of the intersection) and Kinney Lake Road (north of the intersection), 16 km east of the Highways 5 and 16 junction at Tete Jaune Cache, BC. The nearest community is Valemount, located on Highway 5 approximately 36 km southwest of the Project. This project involves the following: The contractor shall install tie-in infrastructure at the designated tie-in location on the existing water distribution network c/w isolation valves endcap prior to May 15, 2022. This is to allow for the existing water distribution network to operate while new infrastructure is installed. Supply and installation of the well supply infrastructure, water treatment facility, and water supply main shall be completed by September 26, 2022. Coordination of final electrical connections, control integration, water system commissioning, and reservoir headworks shall occur after Park operating season is over as to not disrupt operation of the existing water supply system during the Parks operating season and shall be completed by October 14, 2022.
