ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Olney will receive Bids for the Correction of Watermain/Sanitary Sewer Separation Violation at Rt 130/250 project consisting of replacing 45 lineal feet of existing 18" clay sewer pipe with 18" AWWA C-905, DR 25 watermain pipe and ancillary work. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the general prevailing rate of wages in Olney for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or perform such work shall be paid. Also, the general prevailing rate of wages for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, shall be paid for each craft or type of worker to execute the contract or to perform the work. The prevailing rate of wages are set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The City of Olney reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Olney for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. A Substance Abuse Policy and certificate of insurance shall be submitted before a contract is signed. fully complete the work within 20 calendar days
