Engineers Estimate $118,210.00 Proposed Improvements: This project consists of all labor and equipment necessary to remove the existing curb/gutter, adjust storm sewer/inlets, and widening the southernmost eastbound lane of West Main Street (Old Rte 13) between 5th and 7th Street in Marion, Illinois. The Procurement will be subject to regulations contained in the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Bidder will be responsible for all errors in the Bid Documents resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Owner will, in no case be responsible for any cost, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the Bidder. The Bidder shall take no advantage of any error or omission in the Bid Documents. The Bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope and shall be marked to clearly indicate its contents. When sent by mail, the sealed Bid Documents shall be addressed to the Owner at the address and in care of the official in whose office the Bids are to be received. All Bid Documents shall be filed prior to the time and at the place specified in the Advertisement of Bid. Bid Documents received after the time specified will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Permission will be given to a Bidder to withdraw a Bid if the Bidder makes the request in writing or in person before the time for opening proposals.
