Site work for a water / sewer project in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority in an amount not less than 5 percent of the Bid amount.The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional Bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, the Bidder and Subcontractors prior to award of contract shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by Connecticut State Statutes, and federal and local Laws and Regulations The attention of bidders is called to the requirements of non-discrimination in employment practices, conditions of employment, and minimum wage rates to be paid. The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority will not knowingly conduct business with providers of goods or services that are known to discriminate. The South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority encourages responses to its purchasing needs from women-owned and minority-owned business enterprises South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, and/or to waive any informality in bidding if it be in the public interest to do so. South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority reserves the right to award a contract as it deems in its best interest. This project is subject to the provisions of the prevailing wage law (Connecticut General Statute Section 31-53). The Work of this Contract generally consists of the installation of water main and required appurtenances, as shown on the Contract Drawings and outlined in these specifications. B. Furnishing, assembling, and removing temporary facilities, if required, to complete the project as shown on the Contract Drawings. C. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all materials and appurtenances required to complete the project as shown on the Contract Drawings. D. All work within the Town/State jurisdiction shall not commence until the Contractor has received approval from the Town/State in which the work under this contract is being performed
