As of May 17, 2022, the project did not get enough votes to proceed or move forward and it won't be considered again until March 2023. The Town of Wakefield (Town), New Hampshire requests design build proposals for a proposed new Multi-Generation Recreation Facility Building The Town through efforts of Parks & Recreation Department and Board of Selectmen has developed a building layout for parties to review. This layout provides the general minimum size requirements that all parties feel meets their immediate needs. A design build should provide all the necessary requirements for proper fixtures, hardware and finishes that meet all applicable Public Safety Building standards including ADA requirements. The town is also requesting that this build be done with ICF (insulated concrete foundation) The Board of Selectmen current attempt is to use this RFP process for Budgetary Planning along with the selection of a Contractor who can work with the town through final layout, design details, site development and construction. The Town does wish to suggest some items they feel need to be included in any Design/Build package that they would consider. Site work for building area to include paving. Heat & Central AC in office areas. In addition, the Town also seeks as add-ons other items to consider as they decide which vendor provides the best value for the tax dollar. Add on items to be included in the package with cost to be considered. Radiant Heat option for walk-way in front of building.
