The project includes the construction, and associated sitework and infrastructure for the new 98,675 sq.ft. 184 bed Genesee County Jail and 1,550 sq.ft. Maintenance Building. The construction of the new Jail consists of concrete foundations, structural steel and bar joist roof structure, masonry and brick veneer exterior. The housing units will be constructed with precast concrete modular cell units, structural precast wall panels and slabs. Interior partitions will consist of mainly masonry partitions along gypsum wall board partitions. Doors and hardware will consist of both detention and non-detention grade. The Jail facility will have complete plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, security electronics and video surveillance systems throughout Contract Work Packages are as follows: Work Package No. 1 - Site Work Work Package No. 2 - General Construction Work Work Package No. 3 - Food Service Equipment Work Package No. 4- Plumbing and Fire Protection Work Work Package No. 5 - Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Work Work Package No. 6 - Electrical and Security Electronics Work Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Only written Requests for Information (RFI) will be accepted. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on March 8, 2022, from the office of Genesee County and Data Flow. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. Genesee County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
