Renovation of a detention facility in Batavia, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Project number- 19046-AE101, 19046-00, 20022 The project includes the construction, and associated sitework and infrastructure for the new 98,675 sq.ft. 184 bed Genesee County Jail and 1,550 sq.ft. Maintenance Building. The construction of the new Jail consists of concrete foundations, structural steel and bar joist roof structure, masonry and brick veneer exterior. The housing units will be constructed with precast concrete modular cell units, structural precast wall panels and slabs. Interior partitions will consist of mainly masonry partitions along gypsum wall board partitions. Doors and hardware will consist of both detention and non-detention grade. The Jail facility will have complete plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, security electronics and video surveillance systems throughout. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. Genesee County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
