Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ashland, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The scope of work is for the installation of concrete gutter, curbs, sidewalk, paving, storm sewers, and other incidental construction. All bids shall be marked "SEALED BID" with the date and hour of the bid opening and the specific material or service bid is to be placed on the outside of the envelope in the lower left-hand corner. All bids shall be addressed to the CITY CLERK, City of Ashland, 1700 Greenup Avenue, P. O. Box 1839, Room # 403, Ashland, Kentucky 41105-1839. No BIDDER may withdraw his Bid within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each prospective bidder shall return all forms, bid bond and documents required in the bid package which includes their bid. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not for penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $500.00 for each day that expires after the time specified for completion. All Contractors questions regarding this project must be in writing and e-mailed to scole@ashlandky.gov or faxed to 606-385-3333 at least 5 days prior to the bid date. The project must be Substantially Complete within 150 calendar days of Notice To Proceed and ready for final payment within 180 calendar days of Notice To Proceed. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
