Estimated cost: $250,000-$300,000 The City of Pocatello has secured funding for a project which includes filling in a 120 feet gap in the sidewalk with concrete sidewalk and concrete block wall on the 1800 block of Clark Street, 35 updated curb ramps, and 10 asphalt approaches along the north side of Clark Street. The project starts at 18th Street and runs to Pocatello Avenue. Project scope includes the removal and disposal of existing non-compliant ramps or curb/sidewalk sections, new base preparation, forming/pouring of new curb ramp, curb/gutter, and asphalt patch back per plan. Each curb ramp must be inspected by City staff before asphalt patch back is complete. Contractor is also responsible for traffic control through the duration of the project and must adhere to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Pedestrian access must be maintained on one side of the street at all times. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Pocatello as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Pocatello reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Pocatello. General Conditions, as may be modified by the Supplementary Conditions, sets forth Owner's requirements as to performance and payment bonds, other required bonds (if any), and insurance. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by required bonds and insurance documentation. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
