Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wenona, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project is described as follows: Installation of 2,280 L.F. of 8" SDR 26 PVC sanitary sewer; lateral service connections, associated manholes and appurtenances; replacement of curbs, driveways, sidewalks, aggregate pavement, and other surface restoration. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 50% of all labor required for the completion of this project. In addition, per the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the workforce on all public works projects is to be comprised of a minimum of 90% Illinois residents. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Wenona, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. No Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for this project. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders are advised that wage rates for this Contract will be subject to the Davis-Bacon Act as defined by the United States Department of Labor. Bidders must be registered with website and must not appear on the website debarment list, or be in the process of registering at the time of bid opening. Contracts cannot be awarded until registration is approved. Bidders are advised that the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act (30 ILCS 565) is applicable to this project. The City of Wenona reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Wenona for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
