All signs, materials and supplies must meet specifications according to the U.S. Department of Transportation manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices Publication No. FHWA-sa-89-006 HTO-21/2-89 (15M) P. **Signs must be bid with 3M High Intensity Prismatic Reflective Sheeting. A sample sign of sheeting material must be included with the submitted Bid. LA. R.S. 38:2212.1 (C) (2) Wherever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specification is utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they are used only to denote the quality standard of product desired and that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type, character, and quality of product desired; and that equivalent products will be acceptable All signs, materials and supplies must be delivered FOB, no later than thirty (30) days from date of order. The awarded vendor shall be located at a distance no greater than fifty (50) miles from the Ascension Parish Public Works Department located at 42077 Churchpoint Rd., Gonzales, LA 70737. All bid submissions must include vendor's physical address. This is an all or none bid. The bid award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to result in the lowest total cost to the Parish of Ascension. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to place orders on a lump sum or individual item basis, or any combination as shall in its judgment be in the best interest of the Parish of Ascension. Each bidder is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of its bid The bid shall be valid for one (1) year from the date of approval. Signs, materials and supplies will be ordered on an as needed basis. Ascension Parish Government shall not be responsible if the bidder cannot complete and submit a bid due to failure or incomplete delivery of the files submitted via the internet.
