PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project requires the evaluation of electrical distribution systems at the Tommy G. Thompson Center (TGTC) that includes the identification of potential hazards and deficiencies and provides recommendations for equipment that is either outdated or unsuited to its current service. Review and testing will be performed on circuit breakers, all major switchgear breakers, transfer switches, power distribution units (PDUs), and other customer designated service panels. A plan or schedule should be developed for exercising circuit breakers per manufacturer’s recommendations and torquing all lugs per specifications to ensure proper connections are maintained. Additionally, the hired A/E team should develop design alternatives and recommendations for appropriate corrective measures.
