Completed plans call for the addition of a 8,110-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and bridge / tunnel.

Jackson Public Schools will accept bids for the Sharp Park Academy project which entails the construction of a new 5,800 sq. ft., 5-classroom addition, the demolition of an older wing of the building, and then the construction of a new entrance vestibule and gang bathroom unit. Another critical component of the project is the widening of the pedestrian walkway bridge connecting two building sections for the addition of a wheelchair lift. There are, additionally, upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems, interior renovations of existing portions of the school, and new parking lots and associated exterior improvements. Due to the logistical constraints around sequencing and material procurement, this project is scheduled for two major phases, across 14 months, beginning in June 2022 and completing in August 2023. All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack of a relationship) that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the Jackson Public Schools District or the Superintendent of the School District. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Additionally, each bid shall be accompanied by a notarized disclosure statement indicating that they have not been doing business with companies having ties with the country of Iran in accordance with the Iran Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a notarized Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act.
