Sales Tax Exemption Pursuant to 77.54(9m) certain items purchased by the contractor for this project may be subject to sales tax exemption and, in such cases, contractor shall not pay nor charge the City for said taxes. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
