The Sardis Sports Complex is located at 5725 Tyson Road, Chilliwack, BC. During this project, new compressors will be installed in the refrigeration plant servicing Rinks 1 and 2. The goal of this project is to replace aging equipment, minimize the space occupied by the compressors, and to reduce electrical and water consumption. The facility currently operates with three Mycom B-Series compressors. These three compressors will be replaced with two Mycom M-Series compressors (C1, C2). The City of Chilliwack has preference for MYCOM compressors, however equivalent alternates will be considered at the sole discretion of the City. For bidders use and availability, The City has tentatively reserved two MYCOM compressors with Mayekawa/Mycom Canada. Ammonia is to be removed from the system and taken off site during the work, and only brought back onto site when the compressors are ready to be recommissioned. Existing Ammonia may be reused. Concrete housekeeping pads to be 32mpa @ 28 day concrete complete with 10m bar @ 12" spacing in each direction. Concrete pad should have sufficient mechanical connection to the existing concrete floor. Concrete work shall adhere to relevant CSA requirements. As part of this project, new piping, oil management equipment, and compressor cooling equipment will also be installed. Proponents should prepare a Proposal that meets or exceeds these requirements.
