**As of March 16, 2022, project was awarded to McKearney Asphalt & Sealing, awarded amount is $159,627.65** Request for a proposal to crack fill, emulsion seal, and re-stripe the parking lots, and roadways, at Holt High School, 5885 West Holt Road, Holt Michigan 48842 The undersigned bidder has examined the specifications and the location of the work described in the proposal for this project and is fully informed as to the nature of the work and the conditions at the existing site. The bidder hereby proposes to furnish all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus and other means of construction; do all the work; furnish all the materials except as otherwise specified; and, for the lump-sum and/or unit prices indicated, to complete the work in strict accordance with the specifications included in this proposal and in strict conformity with the requirements of these specifications and such other special provisions, and specifications as included in this proposal. The successful bidder must provide any and all permits that may be required by the State of Michigan, Eaton County, Delhi Township or any other controlling agency or entity. The undersigned further proposes to do such extra work as may be authorized by the owner. Compensation shall be made on the basis agreed upon before such extra work is begun. This work shall begin on, or after, June 20th 2022, and MUST be completed by August 1st, 2022. It is the intent of this project to perform Crack Filling, Emulsion Sealing, and ReStriping at the above location. Crack filling shall consist ofCrack Over-band Sealing. 1. Cracks to be sealed will be identified by the engineer. 2. All cracks must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt, sand, dust, vegetation and debris by the use of an air compressor, or a method approved by the engineer. 3. Cracks shall be filled with a rubberized sealant, approved by the engineer, which is heated to the temperature recommended by the manufacturer. It is important that the maximum temperature as recommended by the manufacturer not be exceeded. Care shall be used to ensure that the sealant does not cool while being applied. Cracks shall be over-banded to leave approximately a 2-inch band on the surface. Cracks over % in depth inch shall have a backer rod installed before the crack is sealed.
