Furnish and install all landscaping as shown on the attached contract drawings #62-228-01 and 02. Upon notification from the contractor, the City will remove the existing landscaping on the site immediately before the selected contractor installs the proposed plantings. The contractor's work includes fine grading; topsoil placement; amending the soil; and furnishing and installing all plants, turf(sod), landscape edging, fabric and 3" black hardwood mulch. All watering, fertilizing and plant care needed to reach "installation phase acceptance" is also included. The existing gateway sign and all lights must be protected. The LUMP SUM price described above shall be the complete price for all manpower, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to complete the installation phase. This LUMP SUM price shall be the complete price for all manpower, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to maintain, water and establish the plantings after the "installation phase acceptance" and during the "establishment phase" for a period of 12 months per the "Landscape Establishment and Maintenance" specification included herein. The City anticipates City Council approval on March 22 with Notice to Proceed immediately after that. We request that the work be completed by the end of April, 2022. No bonds are required. Full payment will be made upon complete and satisfactory delivery of services and meeting the schedule as determined by the City Engineer Provide insurance per the attached requirements. No wage rates or minority business requirements apply to this contract. The City reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part at the sole discretion of the City.
