Site work for a civil project in Indio, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of demolition and removal of approximately 360 linear feet of existing 6" and 8" welded steel A.S.P plant water pipeline and associated appurtenances, and fabrication and installation of approximately 360 linear feet of new 6" ductile iron A.S.P plant water pipeline and associated appurtenances. Deadline for questions Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 Response to questions Friday, March 11th, 2022 Notice of Award of Contract Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 Notice to Proceed Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 (estimated) The Project work includes furnishing all materials, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Specifications and Contract Documents for the above-stated project. The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of demolition and removal of the existing 6" and 8" welded steel A.S.P plant water pipeline and associated appurtenances, and fabrication and installation of new 6" ductile iron A.S.P plant water pipeline and associated appurtenances. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid Price payable to Valley Sanitary District as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. No Bid or bid security may be withdrawn for 90 calendar days after the date Bids are received. The forms for the payment and performance bonds are set forth in these specifications. Payment and performance bonds are required to be provided by an admitted surety authorized to do business in the State of California. Prospective bidders are invited to present any relevant questions at the pre-bid conference, but insofar as practicable, questions should be prepared in written form and emailed (Justin Scheidel, jscheidel@dudek.com), faxed or mailed to Valley Sanitary District so as to arrive not later than Tuesday, March 8th , 2022, at 5:00 PM. All questions and answers will be sent to the list of bid holders no later than Friday, March 11 th, 2022. Project Work must be completed within sixty (60) working days from the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid, to have performed the entire Work defined by the Contract Documents or such parts of said Work as the Owner may elect, to combine various optional bids and bid items within a Bid, and to accept or reject one or more separately scheduled bid items within a Bid. The Owner further reserves the right to withhold issuance of the Notice to Proceed, after execution of the Contract Agreement, for the period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date the Contract Agreement is executed. No additional payment will be made to the successful Bidder on account of such withholding.
