Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.

Chatham County is seeking bids from qualified, licensed contractors to perform the upfit of a preengineered warehouse storage addition. The drawings and documents call for P, M and E work along with minimal framing and drywall and some demolition of current asphalt in identified parking areas and other associated tasks. The project is located at the CORA (Chatham Outreach Alliance) Food Pantry at 40 Camp Drive, Pittsboro, NC, 27312. Bid bonds are not required for this project. Currently there is a failing parking area containing 16 spaces in front of the existing (old) CORA facility. The scope of this portion of the project entails the removal of the existing +/-4,550 square feet of asphalt, reworking and preparation of the existing base, placement of the asphalt, striping and bumpers. A sketch is included to identify the intent of the amount to be replaced/repaired. Removal of existing parking lot asphalt (identified parking spaces area only). o Rework, cleanup, redistribution, compaction of existing base. o Replacement of subgrade found to be unsuitable upon review by contractor and Owner. Any additional stone to be furnished at unit price identified in the bid. o Furnish and install 2" of S9.5B surface asphalt (priced in accordance with the latest NCDOT asphalt index). Asphalt is to be placed at a minimum grade to meet existing conditions AND minimize possible issues with standing water. o Due to the possible time of year the asphalt may be placed, ambient air temperature must be between 50 and 90 degrees to perform the work. o Layout and paint pavement markings for parking spaces. o Accommodate one Handicapped Van accessible space with offloading area. o Furnish and install concrete parking bumpers - one per parking space. o Cleanup as necessary to leave site in condition similar to that at the start of the project.
