Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Northfield, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, materials and incidentals required for the complete full removal and replacement of approximately 1,898 linear feet of existing 24-foot wide asphalt street pavement including approximately 3,833 linear feet of concrete curb. Full-depth asphalt removal and replacement is 15 inches thick and will include the installation of approximately 3,882 linear feet of new 8-inch underdrain. The work also includes the removing and replacing of 55 driveway aprons along with removing and replacing approximately 1,185 linear feet of 12- inch storm sewer, 298 linear feet of 15-inch storm sewer, 12 street catch basins, and 5 storm sewer manholes. An alternate pavement section includes a single-pass asphalt recycling/reclamation with new asphalt overlay in-lieu of the full depth pavement removal and replacement. All bidders shall include the Bid Form and entire Contract Document booklet along with any addenda, in their entirety and original form with his/her bid. All bidding documents shall be obtained from the office of the Village Engineer. Duplicates of the Bid Form and Contract Documents will be considered unacceptable. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation currently licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar nature, size and complexity. The Village of Northfield intends and requires that this project be completed within 180 days after the issued Notice to Proceed. Bidders shall comply with the State of Ohio prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and Northfield, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division.
