Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Work generally consists of removal of the existing storm-damaged modified bitumen roof system and temporary flashings; repair of existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall; and installation of roof-related rough carpentry work, adhered EPDM roof system, and metal copings, drip edge, gutter, and downspouts. Contract Time Information Anticipated Start Date: May 2022 Milestones: Substantial Completion 60 calendar days from beginning the work. Final Completion: December 2, 2022 Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
