The Village of Northbrook is requesting proposals for consultant professional construction observation services for the South Lane water main replacement and related infrastructure improvements. The Village's FY 2022-23 Budget (May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023) has allocated funding for the construction of the South Lane Water main Replacement. A brief summary of the construction work to be implemented can be found below: This project involves the replacement of an existing 4" cast iron water main that was constructed in 1941 and is approximately 1,000 feet in length. The existing main dead ends at 1810 South Lane. In FY 2021/2022, the Village selected a consultant to prepare detailed engineering design plans for the replacement of the existing South Lane water main as well as the construction of the approximately 400 feet of new looping main to Driftwood Lane. This work is included in the project's final scope of work. Questions and requests for information must be submitted before noon local time on February 24, 2022 to Jack Bielak, Assistant Village Engineer, at jack.bielak@northbrook.il.us. The Village reserves the right to accept the proposal that is, in its judgment, the best and most favorable to the interests of Village and to the public based on the evaluation factors in this RFP; to reject the low price proposal; to accept any item of any proposal; to reject any and all proposals; and to waive irregularities and informalities in any proposal submitted or in the request for proposal process; provided, however, the waiver of any prior defect or informality shall not be considered a waiver of any future or similar defect or informality.
