Bids will be taken on crushing and stockpiling 1" maximum-size material, conforming to the requirements of Class 13 of the ND State Highway Department Aggregate Specifications (modified). The pit shall be left in a condition suitable to the owner's satisfaction. The County will make arrangements with, and pay royalty to, the owner for gravel. A bidding form may be obtained through the County Auditor's Office. A contractor is to furnish scale, if needed. Quantities are to be calculated by the County Engineer/Surveyor, and payments by the County will be made on the basis of the County Engineer/Surveyor's calculations. Gradation testing may be done at the County's request and expense. A current Certificate of Liability Insurance must be submitted before commencing work on the project. All bids and proposals must contain a copy of the Contractor's License. A contractor must be a holder of a license at least ten days prior to the date set for receiving bids, to be a qualified bidder. The Board of County Commissioners of Burke County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts of bids, and to waive any informalities or technicalities which they as County Commissioners may deem to be most favorable or beneficial to the County of Burke.
