**As of March 03, 2022, the sole bid came higher than the estimated budget and is rejected. The anticipated rebid date and time is not yet determined. * As of March 09, 2022, the sole bidder is Ray Electric with a bid amount of $568,000. Bids when opened shall be irrevocable for a period of ten (10) calendar days following bid opening date. Following a review of the bids, the Berlin Public Schools will make a bid award if it deems that appropriate. Any award is expected to be made by Tuesday, March 8, 2022 with the work beginning by mutual agreement and in conjunction with project requirements. All work shall be completed on or before Friday, August 29, 2022. Full installation and cleanup must be completed by Friday August 26, 2022. The Berlin Public Schools expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the Berlin Public Schools may determine and to waive defects in form of minor irregularities where the best interest of schools of would be served. Work on this project must be completed within the time frame stated in the Specification. In the event that the work is not completed within this time frame, the contractor shall pay to the Berlin Public Schools, not as a penalty but as agreed upon liquidated damages, five-hundred ($500) dollars for each day that the work goes uncompleted beyond August 29th, 2022.
