Ferris State University is seeking responses from painting contractors to complete painting scopes of work for various projects located on the Big Rapids campus. Ferris State University anticipates doing between 100,000 and 200,000 square feet of painting this year. For the purpose of this Bid, Ferris State University will commit to a minimum of 100,000 square feet. Attachment B describes the work to be done and the materials to be furnished for a scope of work proposed for the 2022 PAINTING MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT, for Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan. Upon award of this bid the successful contractor shall work with the FSU Project Manager to define the scope of each individual project and provide a quote using the rates provided in this bid to develop their quote. Period of agreement per the bid documents is May 1, 2022 thru April 30, 2023. There will be on option to EXTEND the contract for a period of two more years on a 1 year + 1 year model based on the performance of the successful contractor. Award shall be made to the most qualified responsive bidder with the lowest average cost per square foot for the of painting interior drywall surfaces. Ferris State University anticipates doing between 100,000 and 200,000 square feet of painting this year. For the purpose of this Bid, Ferris State University will commit to a minimum of 100,000 square feet. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum shall not be cause for withdrawal of the bid. Bids may be withdrawn in person only, prior to the closing date for receipt of bids.. Ferris State University Purchasing Office reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served. Their will be an option to extend the contract for a period of two more years on a 1 year + 1 year model based on the performance of the successful contractor.
