15th Street Station Concrete Ring Beam Repair The contract duration is one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from the Notice-to-Proceed date. All questions must be submitted in writing to jbenante@septa.org by 10:00 AM Thursday, February 24, 2022 to guarantee an answer. No bid will be opened and considered that is submitted later than the time specified. Any inquiries regarding this bid and any request for change, modification, or clarification of any aspect of these Contract Documents must be made in writing to SEPTA at least eight (8) calendar days prior to bid opening in order for consideration to be given by SEPTA to affect a change in the Contract Documents. Field verification of existing information shown on the Contract Drawings (by Owner and Contractor). 2. Safely close offthe work area for passenger safety (by Owner). 3. Temporary shoring as necessaiy Temporary support, removal, or relocation of existing utilities in conflict with the Work (by Owner). Temporary shoring of existing steel beam at bearing location R6.9 (by Contractor). Temporary shoring of all other existing components as necessaiy to complete the Work (by Owner and Contractor). 4. Demolition of existing suspended ceiling (by Owner). 5. Demolition of existing concrete encasement from both sides of existing steel beams (by Owner). 6. Confirm weldability of each existing steel beam (by Contractor). 7. Concrete repairs and strengthening of existing concrete beams (by Owner). 8. Installation ofsteel stiffener plates, bracing plates, lifting plates, jacking base plates, etc. 9. at each bearing location (by Contractor). 10. Temporary jacking of existing steel beams at each bearing location (by Contractor). 11. Demolition of existing and installation of new concrete pedestal at each bearing seat (by Contractor) 12. Installation of new slide bearing assemblies at each bearing location (by Contractor). 13. Placement of concrete encasement of new and existing steel components (by Owner). 14. Restore and/or replace finishes to extents determined by Owner (by Owner). 15. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Refer to Division ofWork schedule on Contract Drawing S-002.
