Field Elementary School is a two-story building in Minneapolis. The school was originally constructed in 1921 and there have been several additions and renovations over the past century. This renovation project includes modifications for a safe and secure entry to meet District standards with a sloping sidewalk, added windows for visibility, and changes to the entry sequence. Restroom modifications will create accessible, gender-neutral restrooms. The project also includes ceiling and lighting replacement, kitchen and lunchroom upgrades to provide fresh food service to the cafeteria and select flooring finishes replacement. Upgrades will be made to the building mechanical system and the electrical distribution system. Exterior modifications include mill and overlay and restriping at the parking and playground, and minimal exterior grading. The existing monument sign will be modified. Allow adequate time to arrive at the school, park, check-in, and enter the meeting room prior to 10:00 AM CST. Additional site visits to this school project can be made by appointment only following the pre-bid meeting.
