The Project consists of furnishing all the materials, tools, labor and equipment to construct approximately 300 LF of PVC Force main, 1 - 10 ft diameter wetwell precast polymer concrete with all related hardware, one valve vault, duplex solids handling 50 Hp nonclog pumps with control panels, and backup emergency 175 kW generator, and all miscellaneous appurtenances for a complete and functional project. All project construction shall be according to plans, specifications and contract documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All project-related questions are to be submitted to the Project Manager in writing and may be sent via e-mail to bclawson@mesco.com. No questions are to be directed to Town personnel. All bidders must follow the Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Business for Participation in Construction Contracts as Revised November 1, 2002. All bidders must include with their bids an Affidavit (1) attesting to the Contractor's compliance with EVerify (or, if the Contractor employs less than 25 employees in this state, attesting to that fact), and (2) attesting to the Contractor's subcontractors' compliance with E-Verify (or, if any subcontractors employ less than 25 employees in this state, attesting to that fact). Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE's) are invited and encouraged to bid. The Town of Shallotte does not discriminate against any person/business because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. All bidders must be on the "List of Plan Holders" which will be made available upon request up to the bid date by the Issuing Office. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to Municipal Engineering, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via email to a drop box link. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
