Renovation of a municipal facility in North Saanich, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,500-square-foot municipal facility.
The project is a revitalization of environmental and cultural spaces used throughout Pauquachin's Ancestral history. In modern history it was exploited as a Rock Quarry for external economic means. We are re-establishing this space as Pauquachin's "Heartbeat of the Community". The Project is a greenfield construction of a 7,700 sqft Longhouse, a 9,800 sqft Emergency and Band Hall, and a courtyard encompassing the natural beauty, traditional landscaping of the area, and associated Civil Systems (Water/Power) works. The building is aimed to use sustainable sourcing and designs such as solar panels, rain gardens, and energy efficient utilities to match the environmental stewardship Pauquachin Nation strives to ensure. The intention is to select a Construction Management partner that is well suited to work with the project team. The CM will be relied on for site expertise related to Final Designs with the design team, options review on best procurement methods for building and erection scopes, and ability to work with the nation on workforce development for PFN. Sequencing forethought will be assessed heavily to understand the construction delivery strategy. 2211-71320-00
