Site work for a mixed-use development in Charlottesville, Virginia. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The purpose of this bid is to secure a contractor for replacing approximately fifty-four (54) water meters and ten (10) fire hydrants. Compensation shall be based on the unit prices provided in this bid.Some City owned or maintained facilities will be temporarily and/or conditionally opened and available for site investigations and/or construction work. Based on recommendations set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health and the Thomas Jefferson Health District, all City staff, contractors and vendors must adhere to strict social distancing recommendations, wearing of face coverings, enhanced sanitizing procedures, and apply relevant workplace guidance and regulations from state and federal authorities. Each bid in excess of $100,000 submitted in response to this IFB shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total monetary amount of the bid (total base bid plus all additive bid items).
