This Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (University/Owner) to General Contractors (Proponents) to submit proposals to be prequalified for a construction project located on uOttawa Campus. Mont Petit Hall is a four-storey building above grade and two stories below grade. The building was originally constructed in 1972. It is centrally located on the main campus and houses the Faculty of Human Kinetics and the Sports and Recreational Facilities. Within the building there are auditoriums, classrooms, computer laboratories, offices, study rooms, an Olympic size pool, gymnasium, exercise rooms, and squash courts. The intention of the project is to address concerns with the building integrity and structure of the main terrace, while modernizing the main entrance to Mont Petit Hall, and ensuring it meets current barrier free standards. Roofs F will also be renewed as part of this project. The definitions applicable to this RFSQ are those provided in the Standard Form of Contract CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract for Construction and the University of Ottawa's Supplementary General Conditions to CCDC2, 2008 Stipulated Price Contract as per APPENDIX E of the RFSQ. TIMELINE: RFQ for contractors closed March 3, 2022; four (4) firms were short-listed. Invited tender closed April 26, 2022.
