As of April 14, 2022, project was awarded to NPS Solutions, LLC, awarded amount is $249,946.90. The project includes the following major items: Installation of approximately 2.3 miles of shared lane markings and other bicycle boulevard items, such as signage, neighborhood traffic circles, speed cushions, limited bicycle lane markings, bicycle racks, and other associated work. The City of Rocky Mount is seeking 10% MWBE/DBE sub-contracting participation on this project. The Owner and Engineer shall review all submitted questions and issue an Addendum to all document holders no later than March 3, 2022, unless extended by bid addenda. The Project Manager and Engineer for this project is Steve Yetman, Assistant City Engineer - Transportation, City of Rocky Mount. All requests for interpretations related to this RFP must be submitted in writing to the Senior Purchasing Technician by March 1, 2022. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Alternate items will not be considered in determining the low bidder and will only be evaluated after the award of the contract is made. All Bids as described in 29.01(a), shall be accompanied by a deposit equal to not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the Bid in the form of cash, cashier's check, a certified check or a bid bond by a surety authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina. The successful bidder in a contract $300,000.00 or more, within ten (10) days after the notice of award is received by him, shall provide the City of Rocky Mount with a contract payment bond and a contract performance bond, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the amount of the contract. All bonds shall be in conformance with GS 44A-33. The corporate surety furnishing the bonds shall be authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina. The successful bidder, within ten (10) days after the notice of award is received by him, shall provide a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder shall not add any provision reserving the right to accept or reject an award, or to enter into a contract pursuant to an award. Bidders must conform to the provisions of the North Carolina Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality.
