Project: Judson Restroom Renovation; 3809 Judson St., LOUISIANA LICENSED CONTRACTOR REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT WITH A MAJOR CLASSIFICATION as BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of Four Hundred dollars ($400.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion time of 62 calendar days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Caddo Parish School Board desires that Bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. Work in general includes the renovation of existing restrooms serving a wing of Classrooms. The existing tile floor will be removed and new epoxy finish on the floor and walls. New plumbing fixtures will be installed including ADA compliant fixtures. Alternate Bids include restroom renovations at B-Wing and plumbing fixture replacement at existing single occupant toilets. Work as indicated in the Construction Documents. Liquidated damages may be required by Owner for a contract not completed within the time stated Liquidated Damages charges will be calculated at the ration of 1/10th of 1 percent of the contract amount per day, with a $200 minimum and a $1000 maximum.
