The project is comprised of replacing and upgrading the existing HVAC system at Field Elementary School in Springfield, Missouri. The HVAC system scope includes replacing an existing Triple Deck Multi-Zone units with new Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, packaged rooftop units and dedicated outside air units. It is the intent of the Owner to begin ordering equipment and supplies in March with full access to the building for installation on June 1st, 2022 and have the work substantially complete by August 5th, 2022 and suitable for use by August 10th, 2022 for the 2022/2023 school year opening. September 30, 2022 - Final Completion. The sum of Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day that the Contractor is in default after the time stipulated in the Contract for completion until the Work is Substantially Complete. The Owner may withhold from payments due the Contractor, such amounts as may be assessed as liquidated damages. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, executed by the Bidder and a duly authorized surety company, certified check, or cashier's check made unconditionally payable to the Springfield Public Schools R-12 for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid or bids submitted.
