They are looking at a different options on how to proceed.** Significant types of work and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: Base Bid: Test all joints , grouting those that fail pressure test within the entire section on 24' concrete pipe in the following locations: Between SN234001 to SN234003, approximately 392 feet Between SN231087 to SN231096, approximately 398 feet Between SN231087 to SN231083, approximately 263 feet Between SN231080 to SN234001, approximately 358 feet Alternate Bid: Install 24" CIPP liner at the following locations: Between SN234028 to SN234029 approximately 299.3 feet Between SN133008 to SN133009 approximately 321.6 feet All locations are located within an easement. Contractor is required to notify all property owners abutting easement were work is taking place, or needed for access, including Waukesha County Parks for work that occurs on the BugLine Trail. All work is included in a single prime contract. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as shown, specified, and required to grout pipeline joints using a packer injection method. This is a lump sum price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above and on the Bid Schedule ae inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements. A Bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to Village of Sussex either prior to or with the Bid. Bid Security in the form of a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to the Village of Sussex, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the contract bonds and certificate of insurance, within ten days after acceptance of the bid. Should the Bidder fail in meeting this provision, then the amount of the certified check or bid bond will be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages. Neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibilities for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete or unauthorized sets of Bidding Documents. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of Thirty (30) days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of the Village of Sussex. Also, no bid can be resubmitted by a Bidder that has successfully withdrawn a bid prior to the bid opening. The Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall be required to furnish payment and performance bonds acceptable to the Village of Sussex for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Construction time is of the essence, completion date is December 31,2022. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The letting and award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statues. Prequalification of Bidders will not be required. The Village of Sussex reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids, to waive or not waive any minor defects, irregularities or informalities that may be found in the Bids received and to accept any Bid that is in the best interest of the Village of Sussex.
