Site work and renovation of a civil project in Lethbridge, Alberta. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new effluent water pumping system and upgrades to the existing effluent water distribution piping at the City of Lethbridge Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to meet current and future demands for effluent water throughout the WWTP. Scope of work will include: a) New pumping system for e-water system with effluent water source downstream of UV treatment, consisting of: a. pre-packaged lift station with connection to existing main effluent chamber with provision for pumping capacity expansion for future demands; b. electrical and controls for the lift station, housed within a new prefabricated building; and c. Strainer system (or equivalent for effluent water. b) Upgrades to the existing e-water distribution system, consisting of: a) connection from the new pumping station to the existing e-water distribution system; b. upgrading portions of the existing system to improve hydraulic capacity, with a total system design objective of maintaining between 350kpa abd 550 kpa throughout the system. c) Integration of new instrumentation and controls with the plant's SCADA system (programming will be performed by the City); and d) Site access for the new lift station. TIMELINE: Detailed engineering design is underway. Tender from general contractors will be issued in late 2024. Further update mid-year.
