STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR VARIOUS STREETS IN ZONES C & F This project consists of pavement rehabilitation and upgrading all curb ramps to current ADA Standards. The work to be done, in general, consists of furnishing all material, tools, equipment, and incidentals to construct asphalt concrete pavement, Portland cement concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, cross gutter, ramps, striping, and adjust surface utility box, frame, and cover to grade. The Contractor shall perform all work required for such construction in accordance with the Contract Documents and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, complete and ready for use. Prospective bidders who only view and/or print the Plans and Specifications from the Citys website will not automatically be added to the Citys Plan Holder list for this project unless they send an email to the to the Project Manager at m.saied@lomitacity.com and provide the firms name, address, telephone and contact person with a valid email address. This will ensure that the prospective bidder is listed as a Plan Holder and will be informed of any addenda and all information issued subsequent to obtaining the official form of proposal. Addenda will be posted on the City website, but it shall be the bidders responsibility to inquire for any addenda/updates to this Notice Inviting Bid prior to submitting their bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, a certified or cashiers check, or a bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Lomita, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid submitted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, both in a form satisfactory to the City Attorney. The successful bidder will also be required to pay the State of California prevailing wage scale as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations, available at electronically The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received.
