Renovation of a fire / police facility in Redmond, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Work to be performed is under one bid schedule: Fire Station 16 and Maintenance Facility Seismic Upgrades. Both facilities shall be constructed completely under one construction schedule. This Work shall include: seismic upgrades of the fire station and maintenance facility, including but not limited to installation of supplemental shear walls, seismic bracing of mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection systems, architectural seismic upgrades, and other work necessary to complete the project. Engineer Estimate for Schedule A work is $2,000,000 to $3,000,000. All physical work shall be completed in the time specified in Section 1-08.5. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashiers check or surety bid bond made payable to the City of Redmond, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid, including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates. The City of Redmond, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender in consideration for an award. Small, minority, and women-owned business are encouraged to participate in the bidding as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
