Construction of highway intersection improvements located on Hwy. 97 at Leckie Road in Kelowna. These works are being co-funded by the City of Kelowna, Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure and the nearby Costco Wholesale development. The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: a) Milling of existing asphalt and removal & reconstruction of centre median b) Traffic signal reconfiguration, including various removals and installation of new bases, poles, signal heads, signage, wiring, and other works. c) Minor road widening and concrete curb construction. d) Asphalt overlay paving and pavement markings. e) Drainage improvements, including new catch basins, leads and connections to existing storm main. f) Landscape restoration and related works. g) Working hours shall be 7:00 pm to 6:00 am in accordance with the Highway Usage Permit unless otherwise approved by the Contract Administrator. Traffic interruptions are not permitted on provincial highways, arterial, or major collector roads between the hours of 6:00 am and 7:00 pm. No disruptions to traffic flow are permitted outside of working hours. Drive lanes must be returned to an asphalt surface of at least 3.5m width, free of potholes and other impediments, sufficient to accommodate a standard twowheel drive passenger vehicles at a speed of 50 km/h outside of working hours. i) No Work that affects traffic will be permitted for the dates and times specified below: ii) Good Friday / Easter Monday: Noon Thursday before to 07:00 Tuesday after iii) Victoria Day (May Long Weekend: Noon Friday before to 07:00 Tuesday after Documents can be obtained from https://kelowna.bonfirehub.ca/portal/
