Contract for the 3rd Floor Renovation of the Municipal Court Building Located at 600 Orleans, Beaumont, Texas 77701. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or approved Bond in an amount representing Five Percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Said check or bond shall be made payable to the City of Beaumont and shall be given as a Guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Work, will enter into an Agreement with the City, and will furnish the necessary insurance certificates and Performance Bond within Fourteen (14) days for award of Contract. In case of refusal or failure to enter into said Agreement, the check or Bid Bond, as the case may be, shall be forfeited to the City. If the Bidder elects to furnish as Bid Bond, it shall be on forms and by Sureties acceptable to the City. Within Ten (10) Days following contract award, the awarded Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount representing one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid amount. Said bond shall be payable to the City of Beaumont and shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder shall satisfactorily complete all Work required by this Contract. In case of failure to perform all requirements of this contract, said Performance Bond shall be forfeited to the City. Bond shall be on a form and by a Surety acceptable to the City. Within Ten (10) Days following contract award, the awarded Bidder Shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount representing one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid amount. Said bond shall be payable to the City of Beaumont and shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder will satisfactorily pay for any materials, equipment, or other supplies, or for rental of same, used in connection with the performance of the work contracted to be done, or for amounts due under applicable State law for any work or labor thereon. In case of failure to pay all amounts owed by Contractor under the terms of this contract, said Payment Bond shall be forfeited to the City. Bond shall be on a form and by a Surety acceptable to the City.
