The Government of Alberta (the “Province”) requires construction services for: .1 Replacement of the existing BF 75055 (N&S) bridge decks at Hwy 2:30 over Hwy 39:11 at Leduc, AB. The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of work: .1 Traffic accommodation for bridge rehabilitation and roadway work, including median crossovers; .2 Construction, maintenance, and removal of a temporary single-span detour bridge and median cross overs; .3 Removal of existing bridge components, including decks, deck drains, deck joints, approach slabs, bridgerail barriers, approach rail transitions, northbound bridge drain troughs, and upper portions of backwalls and wingwalls; .4 Partial depth repairs of the abutments and piers; .5 Pressure washing bridge including girder ends, abutment diaphragms, abutment bearings, and top surfaces of abutments and piers; .6 Removal of rust, and painting on girder ends, abutment diaphragms and abutment bearings .7 Structural steel girder repairs including installation of shear studs on top flanges, replacement of top flange cover plates and repairing bottom flange cover plate welds; .8 Partial reconstruction of backwalls and wingwalls below deck soffits and approach slabs; .9 Construction of new 225 mm CIP concrete decks and new TL-5 double tube type bridgerail barriers using Corrosion resistant reinforcing steel for southbound bridge and; Corrosion resistant reinforcing steel and glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) reinforcing for the northbound bridge .10 Construction of new 300 mm CIP approach slabs and sleeper slabs; .11 Construction of new drain troughs; .12 Installation of new approach rail transitions; .13 Partial reconstruction, including gap repairs, of the slope protection at Abutment 1 locations; .14 Repair the erosion damage along the southeast wingwall of the southbound bridge; .15 Roadway works including median grading and guardrail installation; .16 ACP paving of the bridge approach slabs; .17 Chip seal coat application of the bridge decks; .18 Mill approximately 30 m of ACP on the approach roadway at each abutment for both bridges, followed by ACP inlay or overlay; Question Deadline 07/29/2025 at 4:30 PM MT
