Site work for a transportation facility in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The magnitude of this work is in the range of $1,471,000.00. The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, classification B and C10 at the time the contract is submitted. The Work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment, and incidental items meeting the technical requirements of the Contract documents to upgrade the existing lighting regulators and to provide a fire suppression system for the Airfield Lighting Vault, to include the following scope of work: 1. Provide a gaseous fire suppression system. This will include gas tanks and piping, fire detection system to release gas and mechanical dampers to seal off openings (air vents, exhaust fans and air conditioners) in the vault. 2. Change the existing lighting out to LED type. One for one replacement, no other work. 3. Replace Constant Current Regulators. These will be done one at a time with as many as possible without disrupting airport operations. Old regulators will be taken out of service and replaced with new ones. New regulators will be put back on the old analog control system until all are replaced. Some will require new high voltage cutouts and wiring to high voltage splice panel. 4. Install a new lighting control system rack in vault and new remote-control computer in tower. All new regulators are digital and will be also connected to new rack. After all regulators are replaced, the new control system will be put in service. Deadline to Submit Written Questions. All questions shall be submitted via e-mail to Missy McGrath at _mmcgrath@san.org. Questions will be received until, 2:00 pm on March 1, 2022. Any questions received after that time and date will not be considered. In accordance with the provisions of the California State Labor Code, the Airport Authority has obtained the general prevailing rate of wages (which rate includes employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes) applicable to the work to be done, for straight time, overtime, Saturday, Sunday and holiday work. All labor employed on this project shall be paid no less than such minimum rates of wages. It is the practice of the Airport Authority that certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of Airport Authority contracts. Certified DBEs with qualifying experience are encouraged to respond to the request for proposals/bids/quotes, etc. Scope of Work: 1. Replace Airfield Lighting Regulators within the Vault 2. Install Gaseous Fire Suppression System and Upgrade HVAC System within the Vault 3. Replace Lighting Fixtures within the Vault 4. Replace computerized lighting controls and upgrade remote monitoring station at ATCT
