Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Granbury, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

A new 0.82 MGD sequencing batch reactor (SBR) system, repurposing of existing structures, addition of a new grit removal system, construction of new dewatering building, and construction of a new operations building. A. This project will upgrade and expand the existing 0.487 mgd AMUD Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2. The proposed design capacity is 0.82 mgd to provide additional wastewater treatment capacity for the Acton Municipal Utility District (Owner). B. Complete treatment will be provided by the following unit processes: 1. Mechanical and Manual Screen - The existing screening channel structure will have the existing mechanical screen and related appurtenances removed. A new 1/4 " mechanical screen with related appurtenances will be installed in the existing screening channel. The existing screening channel for the manual bar screen will be demolished entirely. A new channel for a manual bar screen will be constructed adjacent to the existing screening channel. A new 1" manual bar screen with related appurtenances will be installed in the proposed, adjacent screening channel. 2. Grit Removal System (Additive Alternate) - Construction of a vortex style grit removal system including installation of such equipment as grit removal pump and grit separator system. 3. Flow-Equalization - The existing oxidation ditch will be converted to an equalization flow basin. 4. In-Plant Lift Station - Existing Sludge Storage Tank No. 2 will be converted to an in-plant lift station. 5. Secondary Treatment - A new jet mix style batch sequencing batch reactor (SBR) system will be installed to replace the final clarifiers. The existing blowers will be demolished. New blowers will be installed in the SBR building. 6. Effluent Disinfection - The existing final clarifiers will be converted to parallel chlorine contact basins. A new chlorine gas system in the administration building will be installed. 7. Solids Storage - The existing chlorine contact basins will be converted to solids storage tanks (SST) with mixing and aeration equipment. 8. Solids Transfer - A new sludge transfer pump station will be constructed within the new dewatering building. The existing sludge transfer pump station will be demolished. 9. Solids Dewatering - The existing dewatering trailer will be removed. A new dewatering building with dewatering equipment will be constructed. 10. Controls - A new SCADA system will be installed for increased automation and remote monitoring capability. 11. Support Facilities - Construction of a new SBR Support Building adjacent to the SBR structures and construction of a new Administration Building (including a new motor control center, control room and laboratory space, restroom, office, etc.) will be included within the scope of this project.
