It is advised that arrangements be made for bids be delivered prior to the bid opening date to avoid any issues with delivery delays on the bid opening date. In the event bids cannot be opened on said date due to unforeseen events, they will be opened on the next day that the Purchasing Office is open. All bids received after the time stated above will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. The bidder assumes responsibility for having its bid deposited on time at the place specified. Each Bidder shall agree to hold their bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening. Document fees will be refunded if hard copy is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days of award of contract. All deposits shall be forfeited after the thirty (30) days have elapsed. ANY PERSON OR CORPORATION WHO FAILS TO SUBMIT A BID SHALL FORFEIT THEIR HARD COPY BID DOCUMENT DEPOSIT IN ITS ENTIRETY. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at no charge on the JAG Planroom website. Plan holders who have obtained hard copies of bid documents are responsible for obtaining all bid addenda. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped are responsible to pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the base bid and all Alternate Bids must be submitted with sealed bids. All contractors must comply with the Article 8 of the New York State Labor Law.
